PROBLEMATIC
6.6 million tonnes of food are thrown away from households. The relevance lies in the need to reduce food waste and promote a sustainable food culture. How can we find simple solutions to minimise these sources of food waste?

43 % of the Waste
43 % of the waste comes from the homes. Households are the biggest contributor to food waste.
13- 34 years olds
Students waste proportionally more food than other age groups.
Average purchase cost of food
They have an average purchase cost of 160 € per month. Like 30-50 € per week.
Average of food waste
The student has an average of 250 g of foodwaste per person per day. and 170 g of this could be avoidable.
